Charmcamp reservations & payments

Sometimes, your reservation may not be visible in your guest area. To add your reservation to your account, you can contact customer service.

It is sometimes possible to specify a preference for a specific spot. Have you stayed at a Charmcamp before and remember that beautiful spot by the water? Or are you camping with another family and want to stay next to each other? You can select your preferred spot in the 'Select preferred location' step when you book your stay. This ensures you'll stay at the spot of your choice. Please note! If you select a preferred spot, additional fees will apply. If you're unsure about your spot, please contact us.

We recommend reserving in advance to avoid disappointment. At Charmcamp, we offer small-scale campsites, and there's a high chance you might miss out on your spot, especially during peak season. Of course, you can always contact us in advance by phone or email.

The available extras vary depending on the campsite, but they can include: a fridge for cold drinks on warm days, a crib in the safari tent, or bringing your pet!

Would you like to add cancellation insurance to your booking? You can do so at the last step when booking.

If you accidentally have made a double booking, please inform us within 24 hours. We can then cancel the second booking free of charge.

It is possible! You can do this online by making two or more separate reservations. It is also possible to make one reservation for several places. Please contact Customer Service to do so.   

The main booker must be at least 18 years old and stay at Charmcamp themselves.

We are sorry to hear that you want to cancel your reservation. Please contact our customer service. They can cancel the reservation for you. Please note! You can cancel the reservation free of charge within 24 hours. After 24 hours a cancellation fee applies.

If you book on the Charmcamp website, it is possible to change your booking once. This is possible up to 2 weeks before arrival, subject to availability. Booking changes can be made to another campsite and/or date. To do this, please contact us so we can adjust your reservation. If your booking is changed and the price is lower than the original price, you are not entitled to a refund. If the price is higher, you will have to pay the difference. We will send you a new confirmation (with a payment link) once your booking has been modified. We will also inform the campsite of the changes.

When booking, you can check the cost summary to see which costs you pay in advance and which costs you have to pay at the campsite. Often this is the deposit, tourist tax and any extras such as bed linen or children's packages. However, this varies from campsite to campsite, so always check your booking overview carefully.

If you would like to add an extra tent to your reservation, it is best to contact our customer service to discuss the possibilities.

The tourist tax is displayed in the disclaimer in the price overview and is paid at the campsite.

Arrival & Departure

At most campsites, check-in is possible from 3:00 PM. Would you like to check in earlier? In some cases, this is possible, but it depends on availability. The accommodation may also still be in the process of being cleaned. Please contact the campsite or our customer service to inquire about the possibilities.

Do you want to check in later than the indicated check-in times? This is possible in some cases, but it depends on the campsite. Contact the campsite or our customer service and ask about the possibilities.

At most campsites, you can check out until 10:00 AM. Would you like to check out later? In some cases, this is possible, but it depends on availability. If new guests are arriving at your accommodation on your departure day, a late check-out is often not possible. Some campsites allow a late check-out for an additional fee. Please contact the campsite or our customer service to inquire about the options.

This depends on the campsite. Please contact the campsite if you would like to invite visitors during your stay. You can find the contact details of the campsite in your reservation confirmation.

To get your item back as quickly as possible, it's best to contact the campsite directly. You can find the contact details on your booking confirmation.

The safari tents

Our safari tents are equipped as standard with pillows and duvets. Bed linen packages can be optionally added at most campsites when making your reservation. At some campsites, this is mandatory, or it may not be possible to add them. Prices and options vary by campsite and are indicated on the relevant campsite page during the booking process under 'Options and Extra Charges.' Not sure if this was added to your reservation? This is shown on the cost overview in your booking confirmation. Would you like to add bed linen packages? Please contact our customer service. If you bring your own bed linen, make sure to bring the correct size.

The final cleaning of the safari tent is mandatory at most campsites and is therefore already included in your reservation. You can find this information on the campsite page or in your booking confirmation.

On the campsite page, you can find an inventory list for each accommodation.

Smoking is not allowed inside the accommodations of Charmcamp. However, smoking is permitted on the veranda of the safari tent.

All safari tents are waterproof. You don’t have to worry about wet feet or a leaking tent.

Before departure, we ask you to leave the site or accommodation as you found it upon arrival. This includes emptying the fridge, taking out the trash, stripping the beds, and sweeping the floor. The campsite may ask for something additional. Always check with the campsite about this.

The Charmcamps

At our small-scale campsites, you can book various types of accommodation. You can choose a pitch for a tent or caravan, or even book a nature campsite. If you want more comfort during your vacation, a safari tent might be a great option! These tents come with all the comforts you need.

The size of the camping pitches is often provided in the description of the pitches. If you can't find this information and need advice, we recommend contacting customer service.

This varies by campsite. You can find this information under the "practical information" section on the campsite page. Additionally, our team is available to assist you by email or phone.

At some Charmcamp locations, this is possible for a small fee. The availability is limited, so feel free to ask our customer service about the options.

It is definitely possible to bring your pet! Several campsites allow pets. Check here for campsites where pets are welcome. There are also campsites where bringing pets is not allowed. So, be sure to check during the booking process whether your pet is allowed on your vacation.

This varies by Charmcamp and is often also dependent on weather conditions. Our customer service is available if you need more information about this.

During check-in at some campsites, you pay a deposit. If the safari tent is left in good condition, the deposit will, of course, be refunded. It may take up to 14 days after departure for the campsite to refund the amount.

Payments

You can securely pay for your reservation at Charmcamp using payment methods such as iDeal, Mastercard, Maestro, Bancontact, and Sofort.

It is only possible to transfer the money via the payment link in the booking confirmation. It is important to enter all details correctly. You will receive a payment confirmation via email. This may take some time to process.

Yes! Once your payment has been successfully completed, you will receive a payment confirmation via email. It may take some time for this to arrive.
